Gum Anyone?

Eucalyptus is one of the most common trees in Australia. Apparently there are more than 700 species of eucalyptus, and mostly found in Australia. Many species are known as gum trees because they release abundant amounts of sap.  Since gum trees are so diverse, they’re among the most beautiful trees I have ever seen and I loved every second I spent taking pictures of them. So here is a sample of the pictures I took. Hope you all enjoy, and remember to keep checking back for more.

Red Sky at Night...

This is Davie's Pond. It has become a place frequented by local residents of neighbouring communities this summer in attempt to cool down from the extreme temperatures we've been experiencing. This summer has been the hottest of all summers, at least from what I can recall. This particular visit happened latter in the evening when there wasn't a ripple on the water. As the sun set all that remained was a mirror reflection of the definition of a perfect summer evening sky. I managed to take note of this reflection on the water during my swim and quickly exited just in time to capture this moment.  I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and staying cool. Don't forget to check back for regular postings.

Twilight

This particular night in July the sky was just awesome! For me personally it's hard to ignore a good sunset and this night was no different. The sky light up as bright red, outlining every cloud in sight. Hope you all enjoy and as always keep coming back for more!

Catchin' Caplin

Last month I had the opportunity to partake in a Newfoundland tradition of watching the caplin rolling in. I'm not one to enjoy catching caplin but I did enjoy taking photographs of the evenings events. This year the prime location was in Jackson's Cove. As always make sure to check back for more posts.
